    Long snapper

LONG SNAPPER- is this a necessary position to fill and WHY? Also, how can one possibly form an evaluation of such a position? It seems silly to waste a roster spot on a LS, but if it puts my team at a disadvantage by not rostering one, I need to know why they are required.

Any position that an NFL team gives up a roster spot for, and pays 1 million dollars annually is probably necessary, ijs.

The logic is that someone on your roster needs to handle these duties. If you didn’t have a specialist, it is going to effect your punting and place kicking.

Well, I won the league without rostering any LS, so that sort of confused me. Also, how would one do an evaluation of Long Snappers, in preparation for signing one?

What is the Contract TIER for a LS? I don't see it listed.
