How long does it usually take for a league to fill up? and if I have friends that would also be interested in playing would they be able to join the same league i am in or does it just add to random leagues?

How long does it usually take for a league to fill up? and if I have friends that would also be interested in playing would they be able to join the same league i am in or does it just add to random leagues?
Right now the average time from when the first person signs up is about 30 days and the leagues are filled in order. So if you're signed up for a league that is halfway full, you can expect it to close and launch in about two weeks. However, there is some variability, because sometimes we'll have a group of people who all sign up and a league fills faster, or we hit a lull for some reason and it's a bit slower.
If you have a group and for some reason the league fills and launches while they're still signing up, let us know and we'll do what we can to put everyone in the same league. But it's best to sign them up ASAP.
