What does it mean in the top right corner when it says I have 1 trade message? Where is this message? Is it an actual message someone sent, or just a generic notification that someone has offered a trade?

I'm trying to cut guys that aren't even in the league any more. When I do, and it pops up am I really sure I want to do this....I click yes, and it takes me to the log in screen. Every time....
