Ive heard both. If it were me I probably wouldn't have taken him that high with the uncertainty.

I find the rise of Cooper Kupp to be interesting. He's come a long way from being a mid-round pick.

If not for always being dinged up, I'd think that Bosa might be the steal of this round. When he's on the field, he's really good. But there are lots of solid picks here.

Hey Kevin - How about making sure all the league are moving forward instead of reporting draft picks “for fun”. The league I’m in had issues day one with a ****ed up draft that after 5 rounds was on hold for a month, then had to be to restarted - then there was no word about the next step which was signing /FA stage until there were multiple complaints, now the stage has ended (back in January), you said in an email that the Game planning stage would take place in two weeks - about 2 months ago and since nothing. What the hell are you doing? If you don’t know what league I’m talking about - I gotta ask how many other leagues are as screwed up as the one I’m in?

Knorr, almost all of the leagues are waiting for me to finish processing the data. There is a tread on this forum "Countdown to Simulation of the 2021 Sandbox Season" where I have been posting progress updates. Game planning for all leagues will begin most likely on Saturday (afternoon). The data processing is really labor intensive, but we are almost there.

Would be huge if you can get the ratings. My spreadsheet is all stats - i need a comprehensive way to quantify some of these guys.

Whoa, nice work. Were you able to automate that or did you do them all by hand?

This negates my need to keep listing rounds. I was doing it so people in other leagues and new leagues can check out one draft. But it's all here.

Does anyone else find it interesting that a dozen or more QB's have a higher PFF grade then Pat Mahomes?

I have no idea how Madden comes up with their ratings. I know that PFF has people who watch game video and subjectively decide whether a player completed his assignment well. That might mean saying that a cornerback had good coverage on a play where he wasn't thrown at, so there's going to be some subjectivity there. I wonder if Madden does that, or if they're basing ratings off of stats (not that a player like Quentin Nelson has a lot of stats from the NFL).

I think the bottom line is that there's probably a lot of subjectivity in ratings, and one's system might lead to differences compared to someone else's system. Still, though, you'd think that there'd be reasonably high consistency. I guess that's why they play the games.

I've heard a lot of questions (both on Sandbox and in other venues) about why Patrick Mahomes isn't rated higher by PFF. I have no idea, but one possible theory is that he's willing to take risks more than most other quarterbacks. I wonder if that might lead to more judgments that he wasn't successful on a particular play? That's the only thing I can think of.
