Where are the rest of the players?

The players are going to become available all during the NFL season. Every week, free agents from 1 or 2 additional NFL teams will become available. This way, there is something to do through out the NFL season to keep your team moving forward. You can see when various free agents will become available by scrolling down the free agent auction page.

Can we get a list of what players will be available? I don’t won’t to bid on a player today if m just going to cut that player later and then waste my salary. We have to have some way of knowing who will be coming available. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of only a few player being available because it disrupts any free agency strategy. I’m-season, you should be scouting. Also, Free Agrncy was started way too early. I might pick up a player who ends up going to IR for the season and have no idea. I thought that was part of the roster building of this league

If I have a player (in this case my punter) who I did not use a FA contract on and is now without a contract and I want to keep him, but he does not become available until week 15...is he on my roster until week 15? Can I use him or do I need to go find another punter?

Yes, as long as he hasn't signed with another team you can use him in challenge games.

I have a question relating to vet contracts. I see gray boxes and reference to the fact that we can only sign initial vet contracts to 4 years.
Is this true or can I sign any vet to a 7 year contract?
Its confusing.

Way I understood it. We have the chart see below. If we want to sign a QB for 5 years contract needs to be more then 110 salary points since QB is tier 1 and 5 year deal for tier 1 is 110 salary points. Look at manual or CDCOX may be able to give better explanation.
Contracts cost the following number of salary points:

Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tier 5
7 year 200 125 100 85 50
6 year 152 95 76 65 38
5 year 110 69 55 47 28
4 year 74 46 37 31 19
3 year 44 28 22 19 11
2 year 20 13 10 9 5
1 year 0 0 0 0 0
Tier 1 = QB; Tier 2 = WR, HB, LT, CB, DE4, OLB; Tier 3 = TE, DE3, ILB, MLB, SLB, WLB, DT; Tier 4 = C, G, FB, FS, SS; Tier 5 = K, P

Thanks Jack.
I understand the costs and years and tiers.
What I dont understand is the difference between the comment that original veterans can be signed for 4 years....
Or can I sign for 7?

Is it the vets that were placed on my team....are limited to 4....and the vets we drafted can be for 7?

Just trying to understand.

You can sign for 7. After there contract is up you can give them 5-7 years or let them go to FA

Gray boxes mean contracts only available during the initial talent acquisition draft.

What day of the week are the new FA's made available for bids? Is it Sunday every week? (Eager to place some bids on a few Week 5-eligible players)
